Match report A miserable day of rain ended in a miserable result for the Purleigh boys.

Purleigh were inserted by the opposition on a bleak and gloomy day at Navestock, both Chucky and Bulk made a steady start to the innings until Chucky was the first to depart for 22 and then Josh for 39 and the innings never really got going, apart from a late flourish from Gary Stanley (27), Purleigh limped to 150 all out from their 45 overs. Navestock's skipper Simmons returning 6 wickets in a great bowling performance.

Navestock then proceeded to round off the win in relative comfort as they reached 152/6 from 33.2 overs, Simmons hitting a well balanced 50* to round off a decent days work. Both Shahid Yasin (10-2-26-2) and Matt Oliver (9.2-1-37-2) bowled well, but ultimately did not have enough runs to play with.

The positives were that the team performance was better and everybody battled until the end.
