Welcome to Purleigh Cricket Club.
We are a friendly village cricket club established in 1970. We are nestled in the small village of Purleigh on the Dengie Peninsula in Essex, with a picturesque ground at the bottom of a hill dominated by the village church.
We compete on Saturdays in Division 4 of the T Rippon Mid Essex League along with regular Tuesday night T20 friendlies (very non competitive!) and the odd Sunday game. During the winter we have regular net practice on a Sunday evening.
We have a great club atmosphere and welcome players of all ages and standards to come along to play. Our ground is a classic village setting with a pavilion complete with its' own kitchen, good changing rooms showers, and a verandah overlooking the playing area to shelter when the British weather does its' thing!
We are looking for new players of all ages and standards, whether they have played cricket before or not. If you are interested, please do get in contact and we will be more than happy to meet up for a beer!
